Perennial Garden, Foyle Road

The clients had recently relocated to this period home in Blackheath and wanted a garden that reflected their style and taste. We worked closely with the client and their gardener to create a bold romantic scheme of massed perennials and grasses.

While the layout of this garden was kept very simple, a large central lawn with brick and stone paving the garden beds were packed with perennials and bulbs to provide a spectacular display throughout the year.

Snow Drops, Jonquils and Hyacinth gave way to tulip Queen of the Night, Alliums and Bearded Iris. Papaver Patty’s Plum, Persicaria bistorta and Rosa glauca continued the color well into summer with ornamental grasses, Silver Birch and Aralia delivering autumn interest.
